New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy said that 1,261 more people have tested positive for coronavirus for a total of 157,815. He said that the number was up a tick, but said people should note that testing capacity has increased.
Hospitalizations and the percentage of people testing positive were both below the city's recommended thresholds. The percentage positive was at the lowest level since the start of the pandemic at 5%. The number of ICU patients was at 391, trending lower but still above the threshold of 375.
